Josh Lackie

Owner & President

Josh Lackie is Owner and President of American Material Handling, the second generation to lead the company his father founded in 1979. His path back to the family business ran through Wall Street: after an early stint at AMH, Josh spent several years in investment banking before returning to help run and grow the company. He brings a dozen years in the industry and a simple way of working, built on trust, gratitude, and impact.

Josh tends to take on the bigger, more complex projects. The challenge he sees customers underestimate most often is timing, because go-live dates and operational downtime carry a cost that is easy to miss until it lands. What he values most is the moment trust and collaboration line up, when a plan and a relationship both start to click.

Ask Josh what sets AMH apart and he points to range. Because the company can supply new, used, hybrid, fabricated, and repaired equipment, it can put its value exactly where a project needs it, whether that is speed, price, or precision. The accomplishment he is proudest of is not a single job. It is the team and the culture AMH has built, which he sees as the real engine behind everything the company delivers.

A North Little Rock native, Josh spends his time outside work with family and friends, on the golf course, on the water, and with music playing. He collects cars and vinyl records, and he stays active in mentoring and discipleship through Betterman and his board work with Peer Power and the Mid South Hope Garage. Above all, he sees the business as a matter of stewardship, an effort to do right by what God has given him.
